Port Captain Report March 2021

You have just a couple days to get your 2021 moorage request turned in. Sunday, March 14 is the deadline. File now or lose your spot! Requests can be made by using the EYC website.

As of this writing, the lake fill is a little behind target. I am looking forward to a good water year if we get a little more rain. The long range forecast is normal for March, so I see no reason not to believe that we will have a full pool this year. Having said that, as of March 2, we need 4.39 inches of rain for 59,032 acre-feet of water and we are 58,500 acre-feet to a full pool. This takes into account that the warmer it gets, the more plants will start taking water.

Moorage requests must be made online on the EYC website and are due Sunday, March 14. Here are a few things to be aware of:

  1. Step 1 shows a Google map of the club with the moorage location of all the slips (this may or may not be 100% correct as it is updated after I finish assigning moorage). Information associated with the 'balloon' markers is correct even if the Google map is not.

  2. The Keep Moorage The Same form is used by all who wish to keep their current moorage or to change their moorage. To keep everything the same, fill out this form and then select the YES radio button. If you would like to change moorage you can ask in the comment section, or fill out this form and to change one or more moorage selections or to drop a moorage also fill out the Request To Change Moorage form.

  3. Use the Request To Change Moorage to tell me what you would like to change or what you would like to drop from last year's moorage. If you sold your boat please use the text field to tell me who purchased your watercraft and if it will still be on the grounds.

  4. The Request For New Moorage form is for new moorage or new boat ownership. Be sure to fill out the form completely with all the pertinent information.
