Eugene Yacht Club is a place for boaters of all interests. We are a member-run organization that has been part of the sailing community since 1940. While our name may conjure up visions of blue blazers and ascots, we pride ourselves on being a casual and family-oriented place. Our goal has always been to be a safe, fun, and affordable club on Fern Ridge Reservoir.

Sailors in particular love it at Fern Ridge. The lake’s reliable winds, uncrowded waters, and natural beauty makes it one of the top sailboat racing venues around. Starting in April and lasting through September, EYC offers weekly sailing from the casual Tuesday evening fun races to Wednesday night small dinghy racing to Thursday night series racing with fifty or more boats lining up in five different starts.

If you’re looking to learn to sail, each summer, EYC runs a week-long Sail School for young and beginner sailors, and then follows it up with weekly practice sessions. Our new Youth Sailing Program offers weekly summer camps for youth through July and August. If you want to try out being part of a crew, let us help find you a skipper through the Crew Finder.

But there’s more going on at EYC than sailing! Many members have power boats and enjoy cruising the 20 square miles of Fern Ridge. Others folks paddleboard, kayak, canoe, and row, or splash in the swim area with the kids. Some prefer to relax on shore and enjoy the view. And there are social events throughout the year for everyone in the family to enjoy.
