If you haven’t already done so, please get your moorage requests for the 2020 season completed. It is all done online through the EYC website. Requests are due by March 15. There are several items that you will need to be aware of:
1) You will need the password for the Members Area to log in. If you need help with this contact Club Manager Rich Aaring.
2) The KEEP MOORAGE THE SAME form is use by all who wish to keep their current moorage or to change their moorage. If you don’t need anything changed select the YES radio button. If you want to change one or more of your moorage assignments use this form and send me a message at the bottom of the form.
3) Another option for requesting a change is to use the REQUEST TO CHANGE MOORAGE form to tell me what you would like to change or what you would like to drop from last year’s moorage. If you sold your boat please use the text field to tell me who purchase your watercraft and if it will still be on the grounds.
4) The REQUEST FOR NEW MOORAGE form is for new member moorage or new boat ownership. If this applies to you, please fill out the form completely with all the pertinent information.
Keep in mind that if you only paid for storage last year and did not pay for wet moorage you will see that your moorage spot will be row J. If this is the case you will need to complete a KEEP MOORAGE THE SAME form and select the NO radio button and then use the REQUEST TO CHANGE MOORAGE form to change moorage and you will be added to the list of new moorage for this year.
If you are a new member requesting moorage you will need to fill out the REQUEST FOR NEW MOORAGE form.
As we have done in the past, we require and EYC moorage registration and stickers for all watercraft that do not need an OR number. If you do not have OR numbers on your watercraft (paddleboards, kayaks, and/or canoes), then you will need to contact me and get an moorage sticker. EYC stickers feature an EYC burgee with a number in the center which must be affixed to the watercraft on the bow on top or on the starboard side at the bow. If a watercraft does not have a moorage sticker and the Port Captain discovers it on the grounds, he will lock it up and then you will need to deal with the Port Captain to retrieve your board, boat, or whatever.
Moorage for paddleboards, kayaks, and/or canoes also needs to be renewed each year. If you need a new sticker, Please use the REQUEST FOR NEW MOORAGE form.
As of January 1, 2020, the Aquatic Invasive Species Permit will be replaced by a Waterway Access Permit and will be required to be carried on boats 10' long and longer. Online permit sales can be made through ODFW's eLicensing System or the Oregon Marine Board's Boat Oregon Store. Enforcement for compliance with the permit requirements begins August 1, 2020. Fees will help fund the aquatic invasive species prevention program and a new, waterway access account for non-motorized boating facility grant projects.
