The moorage billing is in Bookkeeper Larissa’s hands, and I hope to have the listing of names and moorage spots on the Port Captain board by the restrooms when the club opens up again.
If you have moorage billing issues, please contact me before contacting Larissa. She is only doing what I have asked her to do. This is for moorage billing issues only, of course. For service charges and other billing issues, please read and understand the billing process policy that is outlined in your Member Handbook before contacting Larissa.
Looks like we are going to have a poor water year. The long range forecast for April is three inches, the amount of rainfall for an average year. Rainfall for March was the fourth driest ever recorded, just three inches. As of this writing (April 6), the level of the lake is 367.18 feet above sea level, which is over six feel below a full pool and 4.75 feet behind the fill curve. With the current ground saturation, we need about more than four inches of rain to fill the lake. And we’ll need even more if the ground dries out.
The new system of dock numbering for B, D, and E docks will be ODD numbers on the LEFT and EVEN numbers on the RIGHT. That way the larger the number, the deeper the slip will be in the lake. Docks A and C will use the same system they have had in the past.
Docks A and B will lose one slip each as I am changing the 1-2 slip to just one slip as you can only get one boat in those slips. I do not fully understand what the thinking was when someone made those two slips into a place for four boats.
There is a lot of work that has to be done after the numbering of the slips, including changing the database to reflect the current moorage with the new slip numbers and getting the slips renumbered on the EYC map that is posted on the board by the restroom. Your patience as these changes are made is appreciated.
Lastly, Trailer Moorage Spot #27 is now open. You’ll find more information about that in the April EYC Bulletin.
