Club Manager Update May 2024

Hello Everyone!

First off, a little introduction from our new club host:

"Hello! I am Jody Guion, your new host. I’m excited about this new adventure at your amazing club. I have a wide range of work experience including  being an onsite manager of a storage facility, 911 dispatcher, manager of the Planet Fitness in Springfield and also outside sales & distribution for a CBD company which distributed throughout the state of Oregon. I enjoy walking, hiking, working out, & playing guitar in my downtime. I have some powerboat experience but no sailing experience, which I’m eager to learn about. I’m open to any input or tips as to how I can be a good host & support the club. I look forward to meeting everyone, please be patient until I learn all the names & faces."

Youth Sailing sign ups are OPEN! The youth sailing program is a week long Day Camp for children ages 11-17. It is designed for beginning sailors to learn how to sail following the US Sailing guidelines. There are 4 spots each week set aside for EYC members, relatives, or friends. To sign up, please go to the members only section of the website and scroll all the way to the bottom.

Memorial Day is just around the corner and we are asking that all empty trailers be moved over to the Bangs' field to allow for more parking and activities! Please do this as soon as you are able to, do not wait until the last minute. If the gate is locked, please find myself or Jody to unlock it for you.

The calendar this month has lots of activities! We have the Memorial Day Regatta (5/25-5/27), First aid/CPR class (6/1), multihull clinic (6/6-6/7), Live on the Edge Regatta (6/7-6/9), work party (6/15), and of course our regular racing each week.
